Lately I’ve been having trouble with my arm again. The kind of trouble that makes you want to chop your arm off instead of having to live through the pain. I went to the doctor and he sent me to the massage therapist – such a pity. But the really sad part is that every time I come back from the massage therapist I’m usually twice as sore than I was the day before. That pain lingers for a day or two then my arm and shoulder heal up just a bit better and we go for another round. I told the therapist about this and she suggested I take a bath in Epsom salt to help soothe the muscles right after the massage. Seeing as how I’ll try anything to make it all go away I said I’d do it.
Seeing as how I have no Epsom salt I stopped by the Big K during my errand running to pick some up.
Now, contrary to what you may think, there is not a huge booming market for Epsom salt. Walk into any of the super-drug stores in your area and you will not find fourteen different brands of Epsom salts from which to choose. Nope.
You’re going to find one brand, usually the store’s generic label, of Epsom salt. Oh you might find some fancy Lavender or Rosemary scented crap over in the Frou-frou Bath lotions and potions but that stuff will cost you twice as much as regular plain old Epsom salt and then you’ll stink when you get out of the bath.
